National Guard - Weapons of Mass Destruction - Civil Support Team Specially trained state National Guard Units, under the Department of Defense, that support state and local authorities in the event of an incident involving weapons of mass destruction. Teams provide rapid military support to local first responders at a domestic Chemical, Biological, Radiological/Nuclear, and Explosive (CBRNE) Incident by identifying CBRNE substances, assessing current and projected consequences, advising on response and mitigation activities, and assisting with appropriate requests for additional state/federal support. |
